Bass Pro ShopsBass Pro Shops is a privately held sporting goods and outdoor goods store headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. In addition to the Outdoor World store located at the corner of Sunshine and Cambell in Springfield, Bass Pro Shops has over 30 large retail stores in the United States and one in Ontario, Canada.

Bass Pro Shops is one of the nation’s leading merchants of outdoor recreational products in the world. A robust mix of Internet, catalog, and wholesale business outlets supplement our expanding retail store operation. It also owns and operates subsidiaries such as Tracker Boats, Big Cedar Lodge, and Redhead. Bass Pro Shops is known for a large selection of hunting, fishing, and other outdoor gear.

In less than nine years, Bass Pro Shops has grown from the original store in Springfield, MO to twenty retail locations with plans for additional expansion.

The Springfield store is approximately 300,000 square feet and ranks as Missouri’s #1 attraction..

Economical impact of the appeared retail mega-stores in the different cities is derived from increased tourism, sales from the other phases of Entertainment Centers and the sales tax revenues that are associated with earmarked sales taxes.
