Bureaus of Business and Economic Research are founded on the base of the Universities in each state of the USA. They serve the economic and business information needs of individuals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations throughout the individual states of the USA.
Research programs within the Bureaus study the statewide industries of forest products, health care, manufacturing, oil, gas and other industries and resources. These programs provide a wealth of information not available elsewhere, and one Bureau staff field approximately 6,000 requests each year from people seeking information about topics ranging from inflation rates to county demographics to business startup tips.
Bureaus serve as a resource for data and analysis of economic, business, and demographic trends in a state. Bureaus also conduct applied research on topics affecting the regional economy and participates in regional development activities.
