American institute for economic research, founded in 1933, is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to scientific inquiry into economic problems and to the education of the general public through wide dissemination of its research results.
Since its founding, American institute for economic research has focused on the economic benefits of free markets, disciplined fiscal and monetary policies, limited government, and currencies freely onvertible to gold. The Institute is located in the scenic Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. The Institute represents no fund, concentration of wealth, or other special interests. Its financial support comes primarily from the small annual fees of thousands of sustaining members, from sales of its publications, and from tax-deductible contributions.
The American Institute for Economic Research publishes its objective and independent research in its twice-monthly Research Reports and monthly Economic Education Bulletins.
These publications cover a wide array of economic issues. It is generally assumed that readers have little prior acquaintance with the technical aspects of the subject under consideration, and whenever possible it supplements written texts with graphic illustrations as an aid to comprehension.
