The American Economic Review (AER) is the journal which is quarterly published by the American Economic Association and touches on the recent issue of economics. The first issue was published in 1911. Each of the regular issues (March, June, September and December) contains a number of articles and shorter papers on economic subjects. it is considered one of the most prestigious journals in the field.
The current editor is Robert A. Moffitt of Johns Hopkins University. The previous editor was Ben Bernanke. Selected papers and discussions of papers presented at the meetings are published along with reports of officers, committees, and representatives. e-AER, the electronic web edition of the American Economic Review, provides the current issue of AER with hypertext enhancements made possible by the World Wide Web publishing environment.
AER on CD is ALSO available, people may elect to receive the AER CD in lieu of the printed edition of AER or they may receive both editions for a small fee.
